The Shoreham, VT distillery that seems to be well known for their hog wild antics, and fun approach to whiskey marketing, is back at it again with a unique holiday announcement. A new release in the PiggyBank decanter series comes at us in the form of a luxurious gilded hog, lotto tickets, and prizes to be won. To quote WhistlePig: “The original Berkshire Bitter Pig replica decanter is gold coated from the snout down to the jingle balls”. Wait, what? Yes, you read that right. Golden. Pig. Decanter…and something about jingle balls. Check out the press release below for more info on how going gold can help fill up your own piggy bank.

Final thoughts…

I thought I would share the above image from a trip to WhistlePig Farm in Shoreham, VT.  The Berkshire Bitters decanters certainly make for a unique lighting arrangement, which is featured in the foyer of the Farmhouse.  The WhistlePig farmhouse is a living museum of unique brand history with custom chandeliers like the one above made from unfinished pig decanters and even a chandelier made from WhistlePig 18 Year bottle toppers.  I suppose this wraps up today’s whiskey news.  I wish everyone luck in the “Whole Lotto Pig” contest.  If you win, I hope you’ll tag me on social to help spread the news.  Cheers!
