Book the Samuels House vacation rental to experience the Kentucky Bourbon Trail like a bourbon icon.

The 1820s manor was bought and renovated by Rob Samuels in 2021. Although equipped with modern conveniences and luxury amenities, the house’s original detail and character have been preserved to showcase the history of the Maker’s Mark dynasty. Never before seen personal family artifacts, including the deep fryer used to create the iconic red wax tendrils and a hand-made bar with whisky spanning 150 years of Samuels family distilling, ensures a really special experience for bourbon enthusiasts.

Reclaiming a significant piece of the family story, the original family home was purchased in 2020 with the purpose of sharing the family legacy for years to come. Since then, the home has been thoughtfully updated to host discerning travelers while also preserving the character and history of the home. With accommodations for up to eight guests, the home hosts three bedrooms appointed with luxury bedding & bath products, a chef’s kitchen equipped with high-end appliances & custom-designed dinnerware, a whisky ice maker & custom-blown glassware, indoor and outdoor dining spaces, a game room, and more! The home’s centerpiece – the parlor – features a hand-made bar showcasing 50 bottles of whisky spanning 150 years of Samuels family distilling, from the days of the old T.W. Samuels brand to current-day Maker’s Mark. Here, you can sip whisky with the icons. Eight generations of family heirlooms are displayed throughout the home, including Margie Samuels’ English pewter collection that inspired the naming of Maker’s Mark and the deep fryer she used to adorn the first bottle in what would become the brand’s signature red wax.
